OK Didn't realise that it was a big mistake. I will use my backup to set this file back to the original.

Or re-install Kunena 2.0.0 or (when it is available) upgrade to K 2.0.1 and this file will be overwritten, anyway! ;)

Sorry to be a nuisance but I have just one more query. The editing one can achieve through the options in the Template Manager, are these choices over writen on upgrading? If so is it recommended to put css code into the Joomla template css file to avoid this?
It occurs to me that many users want to introduce their own color sheme into Kunena and if they are like me and struggle a bit to find the correct element title to a particular item is there a list of elements available. if not would it be an idea for us users to create one? Perhaps with screenshots showing the actual items referred to? Just a thought. I would be prepared to contribute to a list as I am in the process of doing just that for myself at the moment

Sorry to sound like a recording but, if you want to keep your customised colour scheme intact, from one version of Kunena to another, then you either need to do one of two things:

(1) Create your own Kunena template. Typically, this can take anything from 30 minutes to several days depending on how complex you want your custom styling to be. This involves the creation of several PHP files, a few CSS files and at least one XML file. Great if you know what you are doing but, in doing so, it puts you at arm's length from our ability to help you if your Kunena world explodes.

(2) Use the Blue Eagle template unmodified and make custom changes to your Joomla site template CSS file. This usually takes anything from 30 seconds to several minutes depending on how familiar you are with CSS.

We've had these discussions many times before - if you search the forum you will find dozens of such examples - so having one more doesn't really alter the facts.

The simple truth is:
Nothing is impossible but everything has a cost

And, lastly, you don't need (and we don't need to produce) a list of all the web-elements in Kunena. One mouse-click with a web-design tool like Firefox and you have immediately identified any element on your web pages. Again, this simple fact is mentioned several hundred times on this website.

No need to apologise, you don't sound like a recording, just a member who knows that what he is suggesting works! It's just that if you are a newbie like me using Firebug is not quite so easy as it is for someone who has lots of exoerience in using it. Please do remember another simple truth:
Everything is easy if you know how to do it
but devilish hard if you don't!
