Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Ok, it works now. There had been two problems.
1. Wrong menu type (is done)
2. SEO (I've disabled it for now)

Please optimize your SEO setting and try again.

If your talking about the menu set to "Menu Item Alias" instead of what I had it that's not it because it was doing the same thing with that so I tried changing it to all different ones.
And I can't understand what the SEO has to do with it. I made a mock up site for my friend www.fireandiceconventions.com on a different host and installed the same file I was using here and it worked right away. Just wondering if I should keep going building the site because there are other things I want to install. Thank you again for you help it's greatly appreciated!

Yes, it should work normally. No idea why it does not work on this server.

As I said at the very beginning, we've had many reports of problems with GoDaddy-hosted websites and, trying as hard as we might, many of these problems have been left unresolved. The cost that involved everyone's time to attempt to resolve these issues is just not worth it.

HTTP 404 Page not found issues are, probably, the easiest problem in Joomla to fix as long as you follow the recommended guidelines. A lot of cheap (and I mean really cheap) hosting services, where you pay less than $10 a year, simply do not work and they will never work even if you paid a professional consultant $100 per hour to try to fix these kinds of simple issues.

But, if I could not implement the simplest of Joomla sites with the simplest menu using Joomla-recommended SEO settings on GoDaddy then I wouldn't be wasting my time saying goodbye to them. Within 5 seconds I would already be on the way looking for a new webhosting provider. B)

Thanks for all your help, Rich.
