Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Ok, fresh install of joomla 2.5.7 and the latest kunena and nothing else. It installed just fine no errors but when you click to go into the forum or any link on the forum you get an 404 error. So what am I doing wrong. Here is the link www.fireandiceconvention.com Just go here to have a look then go to the forum then try clicking on anything like the "Index" tab or "Welcome to kunena" Using godaddy as a host if it matters.

We have had many - dozens, at least - reported problems with "el cheapo" webhosting providers like GoDaddy. Kunena should work straight away "out-of-the-box" with no changes whatsoever. If you have any doubts, try the When all else fails, try this approach. If that works then you have to ask yourself, what did you do that was different?

Most "HTTP 404 Page not found" errors occur in Joomla because of wrongly-configured SEO or Joomla menu items. Your configuration report will help you (and us) to find out what you have done.

Very strange. Your config. report shows nothing unusual. Therefore the only other reasonable explanations are

(1) GoDaddy is unable to support Joomla with Kunena; or
(2) The Joomla installation is no good.

I would go with the second case scenario first and start with a vanilla-flavoured Joomla installation by following the recommended technique outlined at www.joomla.org and don't try an of those once-click-Fantastico-script installs.

That's what this is. I went right to Joomla.com and downloaded the latest version. Then did the install myself. Joomla on it's own seems to work fine. I have installed nothing else onto the Joomla except kunena. As a matter of fact this is the 3rd install of just plain Joomla and kunena. I can give you super admin user/pass if you want to have a look. I myself never would have got anything from GoDaddy.com because I agree they are crap but this is a friend I'm trying to help. Thank you by the way for yours.

Do have a folder on your server with the name "forum? Firebug shows these paths on the broken page. All addresses to the joomla template are wrong. The correctly path is without "forum".
