Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Hi,
I have a strange problem that I not so far have been able to solve. I have a multilingual site, all language settings correct as the site is working well except for Kunena. When I have content articles with access level "Registered" everything is ok as far I am on default language. But when switching to second language I am always redirected to Kunena Index page. This issue only appears for "com_content", not for other components.

I do not use Kunena Login module, but the Joomla login module, one for each language, and with login redirect to a article with access level "Registered". Works fine on Finnish language, but not in Swedish. I belive this is a permission issue of some kind, not sure.

The site is under development so far, but found live at www.winecellars.fi/2012_2 . The default language is Finnish (Suomi), and the second language is Swedish (Svenska). Guestlogin could be sent upon request.

Do not anybody else have similar kind of problem? Please reply if you have some ideas!

I do not have full understanding of what Kunena plugins do, and if some Joomla core plugin should be de-activated. My issue has either with re-direct or permission settings to do, I suppose.

Hi, please find below the configuration report. When I have tested around a litte bit more it seems like the redirect happens on content pages that are allowed to comment on using Kunena Content Discuss plugin, but only on non-default language.

I am not using the default created Kunena menu at all, I use Joomla core usermenu, one for each language.

This is a community-driven, self-help forum. The answers about how to use the default Kunena menu - a menu that works - have been given countless times in this forum. For those who choose not to use the default Kunena menu, we assume that you understand that you have advanced knowledge of Joomla and that you have read the guide in the Wiki Customised menus .

If you are having problems with your site using your own menu then I suggest that you try going back to basics.

Because no-one, except for people with a valid account who have logged in, can access your forum, I don't know what we can do. I cannot see anything in your forum anyway. Sorry. Unless you allow access to people who are not registered, who have not logged in, I don't know what other advice I can offer you.
