Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

1) Upgrade to J! 2.5.8

2) Completely uninstall K 2.0.4 and DROP all tables with the name "kunena" in them from your database

3) Install K 2.0.4 again. Follow the guide given in Simple forum setup instructions . Make sure this simple forum works

4) Make one change to your configuration settings: Forum Configuration » Security » Security Settings » Registered Users Only = No.

See if this removes the message "Administrator has disabled public write access"

You have enabled all the Kunena integration plugins. You should not have done that. Put all your integration plugins back to their original settings as explained in Forum integration with other Joomla extensions .

If you want to use the Kunena Latest module, update it to Kunena Latest 2.0.4.

Try to restore your Kunena menu to the original settings. The method to restore your Kunena menu back to the original settings is explained in the FAQs page (the menu item on the Kunena menu above where you see this topic).

You are not boring us. We will do our best to point you to information that will help you to solve your problem.
