Important Help!

My statistics state i have 12 catigorys Yet the drop down box displays nothing and the search comes back with "Error 1: No forums to search in."

Anything i can do to fix this?

Are they public categories? dropdown box does not display "private" forums.

Also, a category is not a forum, a category is a place holder for a forum, so if you just created categories, not forums nor subforums, is normal it claims there's no forum to search

Could you explain the differences between categories and forums to me, please? We have a discussion about this in german childboard, because of the translated german file. And i think, i have a wrong understanding, i interpreted the differences only, by giving a name.

So: what exactely is a category, what levels belong to category?
And how you can build a forum, what levels belong to forums (do they have levels)?

The way to build them, is the same and they all get Categorie-IDs, so i am confused.
