Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Hey guys,
I have downloaded Kunena today after stumbling across it. I have just installed locally and so far I am pretty impressed, but I am having a problem.

When trying to change the template from Kunena Configuration, nothing changes at the front end. I have refreshed, logged out and back in, tried each of the templates, etc. and nothing is changing.
Any ideas what the problem is? Should I try a quick reinstall?

Also, there are some nice little features that you have here that I can't seem to implement, such as collapsible categories. How do I go about adding that?

Try deleting your browsers cache.

Tried all of that. Hard refresh, clear cache, use IE rather than firefox, etc. Still not joy.

Collapsing categories has been fixed in our SVN.

You should change both Template and Image sets to your new theme. Do you see any change in your backend?

Works for me.. If you cannot get it working, there may be some missing files. So try to install the component again (by using url, not download).

I wasn't changing the image set as well, but just tried it and again no change in the frontend. Have cleared cache,etc.
What changes should I expect to see in the backend? It is saving the setting if that is what you mean.
I will uninstall and try to reinstall from URL.

On a side note, is there anywhere that we can view a demo and select the different templates?

If the settings are saved, it should work because of the directory will be read from the setting.

Hmm.. This may relate to some bug in 1.0.7b, but I'm not sure.

There are no 3rd party native templates for Kunena so it may be hard to make a demo. :) I hope that people would post their templates to the community too.
