Question Persistent login not working

Not sure if this is handled by Kunena or Joomla (always tricky to know...), but I have a problem in that users who have checked the 'remember me' option when logging in, are still asked to log in when they follow links back to the site from emails sent out from Kunena.

As I say, possibly a Joomla issue, but if someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

We came across this with Fireboard - it is probably the same issue.

If a user follows a pasted link, or a an email link to the forum they are not logged in. I don't think the cookie lookup takes place. In our case a page refresh will log them in.

So we just changed the warning notice to tell them to just hit refresh first and only log in if that fails.

That's Joomla bug. This may help, but I've not tested it with external links:
