Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Question Can Kunena allow only moderators to Reply to (registered) user posts?

Hi there,

Can Kunena be configured so that only moderators can Reply to posts?

In other words, so that:

- Guests have read access to the forum.
- Registered users can post a new thread.
- Only moderators can reply to a thread.
- The posting user can continue writing to the Thread.

I want a heavily-moderated forum!

It's possible (relatively easy, if you cheat a bit) to change Kunena source code to do that.

I have something similar in my mind: registered users can talk only with moderators (ask/talk with moderators forum).

It's not going to be in the next release, from that I'm sure of.

That's the application / requirement I have!

Would such a feature distinguish Kunena from other Forum options (SMF, etc)?

Are we talking about amending source code, or php?
