Question Last Post Not Updating

Hello,

I have noticed that the 'Last Post' info is not always updating as per this image...



The post is noted even elsewhere at the site (as in Kunena Latest Post module) and the 'New' indicator may even show up on the category, but it will continue to say 'No Posts' etc. in the 'Last Post' column.

I don't know if it is related, but two other issues are evident (please see post about 'showing all categories in Recent Posts' and 'Show All Categories in Jump To' drop down menu.)

You seem to have your own theme. Try to update your stats from the backend and see if adding messages works in default_ex.

You can also look at your theme directory: there should be no php files. If there are, they need to be updated every time you update Kunena.

Thanks for the response... Took your advice and tested with different template... I actually just restyled the default template for that particular look.

I think, however, that I've found some resolution. In two cases the access rights were set differently... Public for the category, but registered only for the forum thread. I set the forum topics/category to 'everybody' and the Last Post now updates appropriately.

In one instance, both the joomla category and the forum topic/category were set for member only and the Last Post would not update. Setting the forum thread to 'everybody' also did the trick in this case. Still cannot figure out why this particular category was having a hangup, but will mark this thread [solved] for now.
