Question Exclude cerain forum from recent discusions?

Hi,

is it possible to exclude topics from certain forum to appear in the Recent Discussions tab?
On my site i have forum dedicated to the advertisers where they can publish news, which is quite annoying for the visitors, so i'd like to simply exclude them from appearing in the list. Is this possible, and if it is, how?

Would it be practical to have a sub-forum for users with Author status, and upgrade your advertisers to Author? That way if you're logged in as Registered, or not logged in, you won't see the discussions from that sub-forum.

but...if i assign the forum to the authors only, it means that it won't be visible to the registered users in the category view too, right? :S

Afraid so, yes.

Aghh...then it's not an option for me... i'm obligated to show their posts in the category view, but not in the recent posts, so i thought i'd spare the users from spamming :S

There is configuration option to do that in default_ex:

Recent Post Settings / Show Category

It's either empty (= all cats) or it has list of all forums that are showing in the recent messages page. Forum IDs can be found from Kunena Administration.
