Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Question Kunena and JACL Plus
I am using Kunena and I urgently need more dedicated user groups than the standard Joomla groups to isolate forum categories to a bunch of useres with different permissions.
Is there any experience out there with Kunena together with JACL plus running on a Joomla 1.5.9. installation?
I am not really a friend of core hacks but JACL Plus seems to be the only solution at the moment to get a more detailed user definition for single categories.
What I want is a forum for 3 different kind of users. One category is open for all registerd users. Another category is just for registered users who belong to a specific group of our club and the third category is just for the head of the club. I could do this with Author, Editor etc. but I don't want some of the specific useres to post articles in the frontend which is the case if they are authors or even editors.
Best regards and thanks for your replies.

Is this a "bridge" that Kunena will provide or is it a patch that JACLPlus Pro will need to provide?

The last one. JACLplus has to provide the patch. Is this a "bridge" that Kunena will provide or is it a patch that JACLPlus Pro will need to provide?
JACLplus works fine with Fireboard, so i think it's not a big business for the guys from byostech.
