UPDATE:

I do not understand why this happened or why I fixed it in the way I did. HOWEVER... If someone can shed some light for the sake of experience and knowledge to us in the community please do so.

As I said before I had the live website on www.mysite.com/folder2 and I was receiving errors when I click the save kunena configuration in kunena. This website was winrared and uploaded and installed on this live server from my testing environment on my laptop using XAMPP.

So I copied the entire site and DB called the db DB3 and the site now www.mysite.com/folder3 . Saving kunena configuration now worked!

I deleted the original folder2 and its DB, then renamed folder3 to folder2 so the same URL would be seen as before. NOW IT ALLOWS ME TO SAVE THE KUNENA CONFIGURATION!?

I did not change anything in the DB or the FILE PERMISSIONS. I just made a copy, then removed the previous install, and renamed the backup to the folder of the site that was giving me issues before.

So this particular issue seems resolved but I dont know why.

Can use your help here again.

I just went live.

I'm getting the original errors again on the new live site. I moved the working files to a new htdocs folder in a new upgraded apache install. ALL WORKS WELL, except for trying to save kunena config. I get that above error screen.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to be able to save kunena config again?

Well, once again and I dont know why but I fixed this error, making it go away by making a copy of the website files and db, erasing the old files and DB, renaming the copies to the originals and starting it up again. Then I am able to save config. I dunno...
