Question Changing date & time formats in Fireboard/Kunena
Hi, does anyone know of a simple way to:
a) set the correct time zone (I've set this in the main joomla admin but it doesn't seem to work within Kunena)
b) change dates to european format (so in all areas, whether on individual posts or profiles, it's in the the dd/mm/yyyy format?)
Thanks!
Steve

In German Childboard you will find a Tutorial how to change. It is in German language, but you will realize the code and the files, which have to be changed.
Start here Point 1 explains the changes in kunena.english.php.
From Point 4 on it is written, how to change xx days, xx hours ago.
For template default (and default_grey, default_red, default_green) you have to change only the file message.php in the folder default
For template defaut_ex you must change two files: message.php and flat.php in the folder default_ex
You can download these three modified files (2x message.php, 1 flat.php) here . Just put them in the appropriate folders (/components/com_kunena/template/default) and (/components/com_kunena/template/default_ex) and overwrite the existing files with the modified files (please make a backup of these 3 files before overwriting).
Hope, this will help.
Edit: If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the german childboard in english, I'll try to answer.

" a) Did you set the Board Time Offset in Kunena Configuration also? "
Hi,
I did try this but it didn't seem to work for me.
I entered "7", thinking that this would add 7 hours to times, but unfortunately didn't do the trick ??
Thanks for your suggestion though.
Steve
Actually, I'm gonna look stupid here - but I've just noticed that it DID work.
D'oh !!
LOL not to worry I do things like that all the time... At least you can admit it...
:woohoo:
