I am not sure, if this database entry will be overwritten. Normally new installation stores old database entries. :S

as you both corrected ;) I have changed the .rar by a .zip and it's ok. I could finally install it again but... with the same problem... I have the same database with some stuff I entered these last days. The "welcome message" is still in english even if I changed the line 40 in the kunena.install file
:S

If you delete all the tables jos_fb_* and retry to install, normally it should works.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

I didn't understand, what you mean, with "welcome message"? The "Welcome Mat"? This is a Forum description and can be changed in Kunena Configuration -> Forum Configuration.

The Forum itself or the post can be changed or deleted.

Perhaps you could post a screenshot?

Maybe it is interesting to know that in the new installation (i just made) the kunena.french.php was not copied in the /administrator/components/com_kunena/language
I only found the kunena.english file while it is included in the .zip file
