I'd almost say : The same way you added a post on this brand new forum...

yeah i was waiting for that one... thanks.
On this forum there is a heading for new thread - reply to thread etc.
However, on my joomla site - i dont see those at all.
All I see is statistics on the user etc.
How do you start a new topic on a brand new joomla site?

Dude, seriously... re-lax. Good things come to those who wait. You posted two topics about it. I am sure someone will give you the right answer.
I am still on fireboard, so I can't help you, but speculate and that won't do you any good. I even tried to recreate your situation just now, on FB, but I do get a new thread button.
I do know Agora tho, and I can tell you this :
Fireboard was already the better, and from what I see from Kunena, it will only get better.
So, have a beer, watch some tellie, I am sure you will get your answer!
Good luck.

I had the same problem when I first came into Fireboard. The problem was:
The "Forum" you add first level is defined as a category. As far as I understand, you cannot post to a category. So - second step: Add another form and assign it to the first (=category). Within that you shpuld be able to open a new thread.
