Question Creating a new rank

Is it possible to create a new rank. We've got administrator, moderator and spammer, I would like to add "PHOTE" photograph of the month editor

In the backend click Kunena Forum >> Ranks Managment >> New rank - then just fill in the info

To use a special rank image you must ftp to "yoursite/components/com_kunena/template/default_ex/images/english/ranks/NEW_RANK_IMAGE.gif" and then select it in the backend

Thanks for that, is it possible to assign the same permissions as moderator/administrator's for that say a photo contest editor

Yes, tick special (giving them the same permissions as mods/admins) when creating the new rank. Then Click on user administration and assign the "photo" rank to the individual user - this will place them in the "photo" rank.
