We are needing to move away from IPBoard to another forum platform and we are encountering alot of resistance from the users because the board we've chosen Fireboard, is quite different from the old board.

One main problem is that html is not able to be used when writing posts and even signatures. And the BBCode is quite a bit different apparently.

Is there some way either in Fireboard or in this new one kunena to add that functionality? We want to use either Fireboard or Kunena because of the easy Joomla integration.

One or two of us requested a WYSIWYG style editor for Kunena at UserVoice. The Kunena developers have decided to stay with BBcode. That's the way it looks like it will remain. You have my sympathy. :(

Changing Kunena Forum to use (optionally) html is a big task and we have a lot of other fixes and features in our mind, too. If it gets very popular in UserVoice, it will most likely get into some release.

Please move this thread to one of the "common questions" categories and delete this posting and my previous posting (about asking Matias to see the PM). Thank you.
