Question How do I control starting ranks?

I run a Xbox Live community site. We have custom ranks, ie Clan Member, Clan Staff, Clan Ally. How do I set a rank for a new member? It randomly sets new members to the site as ranks I don't want. I have all ranks set as special. Ive tried the non special rank with a minium post count for "noobs" but it doesnt work? Any help would be great!

If your ranks are set as Special then you should be able to do the following to set them manually per each user:

Components > Kunena Forum > User Administration > Select the user > Rank Title

Select the rank you want them to have and hit Save.

If the Special rank doesn't show up in Rank Title then its not really set to Special.

I know how to give the user a rank but I am talking about a rank for users to have before I give them one.

Are you asking if you can selectively assign differing ranks to different users before they've made their first posting?

Yes. when you come to the forums and when you make your 1st post I want you to be a "Noob" A starting level for everyone.
