Some questions... was created by Mantaii
Hey! Firstly well done on taking the bull by the horns and hopefully this will keep fireboard / Kunena at the front of Joomla forum solutions.
I am in the last phase of rolling out my new website when I visited Best of Joomla to be told that I should move to Kunena boards, my questions are:
Is the 1.0.7b stable enough to use on a live site?
If its not, how long til the first stable version is realised?
Is there a way to convert my current SMF board to K or do I still need to convert from SMF to FB and then to K?
Cheers,

1.0.8 will be out in a matter of days. We are just finishing up testing and final fixes. Yes convert to FB first, the upgrade.
Hope this helps!

Couple of days!
Brilliant timing for everyone. Hope the testing goes well and I will convert to FB and then upgrade as suggested.
I guess for just now I can install K to make sure it works in my template before I upgrade?
Thanks!

You can install both Kunena and FB into same site, BUT ONLY if you're not using any 3rd party modules for them. Just remember that whatever you do in Kunena affects FireBoard too..
PS: you should install FireBoard first.

Thanks, just noticed they use the same database so no problems here. Will give it a trial tonight after I have done converted from SMF
Looking forward to see where the future of Kunena goes.....
