While I could ratchet up a few thousand dollars, can we be a lot more specific about what your requirements are?

1. You've attempted to use non standard, customising developed by a user at this site in your production work. Before taking on board any customised hacks on a production site my advice to you is DON'T ... well, not unless you really know what you are doing. I've played with the custom version that you've referred to and it's rather "cool" to look at but when you start making changes to a product's core functionality you're creating a liability for yourself in the future.

While there's nothing wrong with tweaking code, for your enjoyment or the "academic interest", if you want your product futureproofed when new versions are released then you're courting danger; you will have redo these tweaks over and over again (and there's no certainty they'll work in future versions). Unless you've made other changes to your implementation of Kunena, you can undo the customised programming changes (that you are having problems with) and go back to the standard version which you will have a more chance of future support and operability.

If you would like to discuss this particular requirement further, please respond.

2. We've already determined that your " problems getting videos to work " was the result of your unfamiliarity with BBcode. If that wasn't worth $100 perhaps you might boost my Karma? :P Sometimes, the most baffling problems aren't all that difficult to fix.

Do you need more help to learn Kunena BB code?

3. I don't understand what you mean by "this JomSocial user points thing". You might have a better chance of working through your problem by posting a specific request for assistance in the JomSocial category.

Thanks, Sozzled. Really appreciate your help and feedback. I agree. We will leave the editor for now. The reason we wanted it tweaked was because sometime bbCode (even for me as we have seen) can confuse our users. Whereas editors tent to make it a bit easier.

The other points thing that I linked up: We need that (or something similar) because we want the user's actions that happen within the forum to show up on their JS profile. And yes, I should post that request in the JS category.

I posted a summary request because we were looking for someone to help us with all areas.

I will look further on getting forum activities to show up in a user's JS profile in the correct category.

Thanks, Sozzled. :)

Apropos of JomSocial, I think I understand what you're asking: you want to know how to integate Kunena with JomSocial user profiles, yes?

While it's probable that you will find the answers you're looking for (from someone who's used JomSocial), you should also be aware that there are complications and that the integration between these two products may not be as tight as you might be expecting.

For example, this website uses Jomsocial but, you'll notice, users cannot view their forum activities from their Jomsocial user profiles. Maybe that's a choice made by the designers of this site or maybe it's a limitation of JomSocial. Whatever the reason, it's something you should be aware of but you'll have to ask someone who has more product knowledge of JomSocial than me.
