Forums installed - how do I get to them? was created by meckeard
Hi all,
I'm new to Joomla and kunena as well, so please bear with me.
I've uploaded the kunena forums 1.5 and I have updated the settings in joomla via components --> Kunena forums. But I don't know how to get to the forums.
Am I missing something in the installation or is there a place in he admin back end that tells me the link to the forums? Like www.mysite.com/forums ?
TIA
Mark

Kunena 1.5 is actually for bug testing only. Not really for getting your feet wet if you're not familiar with how it works. If you plan on trying to run a live forum with it you won't get any support for it. However I would check the documentation link at the top of this site. At the very least you need to know how to create menu items in Joomla.

Grumblemarc,
I had the same problem with 1.x so I figured I'd upgrade to see if I got different results but didn't.
A lot of documentation is blank and I didn't see anything on creating menus. Any chance I can get a link to something that would help me get this up and running?
Thanks,
Mark

It's a basic Joomla function. Have you tried checking the documentation at the joomla.org forums?

As Grumblemarc pointed out, making a menu item pointing to a component is a basic Joomla skills, and well documented in tutorial over at joomla.org. Anyway this question have already been answered:
