I read Kunena will remain free, but there will be available commercial extensions, such as templates and editors ect.

Hopefully someone will clarify. :) As I wasn't aware of any talk about charging for Kunena.

Well reading what Kunena posted in its release notes, Kunena component will remain free: www.kunena.org/blog/139-kunena-3-0-6-released

However, from what was stated it looks like paid commercial addons will be available, or at least an editor was what is stated:

The team is is continuing to develop new, optional add-ons for Kunena — additional templates and features (e.g. WYSIWYG editing, "teasers") — that will be probably become available in the medium-term on a commercial basis (that is, things people will be able to purchase). The basic component and the currently available modules and plugins will continue to be available at no cost and there are no plans to reduce the current features in those areas.

add-ons are alreaydy paid. Some of them.

if they make kunena commercial, i am afraid they gonna lose many users. they will look to something else like smf, phpbb, mybb.
for me it doesnt matter.

Hello,

lifeguard where did-you see that some addd-ons are already paid ?

To use smf, phpbb, mybb you need to use a bridge and can't be integrated with Jomsocial, CB, AUP, UddeIm and you can't use Joomla! plugins to trigger events in forum...

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Sorry, i mean templates.
Integration with phpbb and smf is for a developer not a big problem.
