Important Kunena 3.0.3 released

Kunena 3.0.3 [K 3.0.3] is available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 2.5 and J! 3.x. Included among the 50 or so important changes that make up this new version, we wish to bring to your attention the following three very important matters:

1. As we previously advised , J! 3.2 will soon be released and older versions of Kunena are not compatible with this new version of Joomla. K 3.0.3 is the first version that is compatible with J! 3.2. If people migrate to J! 3.2 before installing K 3.0.3 their forum will not work. K 3.0.3 supersedes and makes obsolete all previous versions of Kunena. Accordingly, all outstanding support topics relating to previous versions of Kunena will be archived (and therefore considered resolved).


2. A number of changes have been made to the Blue Eagle template with this new version. Although older templates are likely to work with K 3.0.3 the team recommends that people should use the K 3.0.3 Blue Eagle template or check with the developers of 3rd-party template to make sure that those other templates are compatible with this new version.


3. The default avatar gallery that used to be distributed in older versions of Kunena has been emptied for new installations. More details on this change are described in the article Avatar gallery in the Wiki.
