Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Question Legacy 1.0 ??? Why do I need to enable this?
I hope the moderators take note of this answer, too.
I don't know the answer to why you need CB 1.2.1 to make K 1.0.10 work or vice versa if you intend to use Community Builder. The fact that CB 1.2.1 is fully J! 1.5. compatible is an independent fact. The fact is that if you want to use Community Builder with Kunena - that is K 1.0.10 - in a J! 1.5 environment, you need to run in legacy mode ... for Kunena's sake.
Not quite. Read the product description on the Joomlapolis site, and it's probably here too or in the release notes. Kunena 1.0.10 has special features for CB built in that can only be taken advantage of if you're running CB 1.2.1.
I never said that having CB installed was required. I think you might have merely skimmed the post too quickly.
For your convenience, I have posted what I actually DID say, below:
Then I u/l'd the package up to the server - same error messages! hm... Okay, so why does a 1.5 native version of Kunena w/special integration w/cb 1.2.1 need to run in Legacy mode?
But thanks anyway for your response. although incorrect, I nevertheless appreciate you taking the time to help out

We decided to keep the 1.5 native note, because there a re thousands of alpha extensions listed as native when they are nothing but that, alphas, we do offer a 1.0 native stable, 1.5 legacy stable (unfortunatelly you can't mark both to be shown) and a beta of the 1.5 native... and we clearly state it, tat 1.5 is not for production sites...
The Kunena Team announces the immediate availability of Kunena 1.0.10. This is a security release and users are urged to update immediately.
The highlight of this release is complete integration with Community Builder, which was updated today. Close collaboration with the CB team has produced a powerful combination of functionality and sharing profile information. To take full advantage of this integration, you should update to the newly released Community Builder 1.2.1 now.
Other bug fixes in this release include CSS fixes, language updates, SEF improvements, and increased compatibility with Joomla 1.5. With over 100 enhancements and fixes in this release, our focus has been on closing out all user-reported bugs, improving stability, increasing usability, and turning our efforts towards a native Joomla 1.5 version. Aligning with the Joomla Project's announcement of the end of life of the Joomla 1.0.x series, this is the last legacy release of Kunena. We encourage users who have not yet upgraded to Joomla 1.5 to do so to further enjoy the benefits of added stability and functionality.
See the Read Me for this release to view the full list of changes and improvements:

On top of the Kunena 1.0.10 release, the Kunena Team has been hard at work on a Kunena 1.5 release, which runs natively on Joomla 1.5.x. We will soon release 1.5.2RC which contains all the fixes from 1.0.10. In the mean time you are welcomed to try our test release which will automatically upgrade any Kunena 1.0.x installation to Kunena 1.5. It shouldn't be used on live production sites. We encourage users to test out this great new native version and provide us with feedback to make Kunena the best forum for Joomla.
Thank you for supporting our community!

I've inluded a screenshot for your convenience.
Everthing is up and running just fine now BTW, and since I wanted to run Kunena, I had to make a choice between waiting, or going with something esle, which I didn't want to do
Besides, it became a good excuse for me telling myself that it is now okay for me to install a bunch of kewl legacy apps that I usually like to run anyway

Look again, nowhere to I state that your site says it's 1.5 Native.
I state that the JED says to - Look at the 1.5 Native button in the screenshot from the JED and also my post *At the Very Top*, says "it's in the Jed".
Okay I'm not here to debate whether the component is native to 1.5 or not, because it isn't and that is okay. But I do take umbrage to the fact that you're putting words in my mouth.
As a nice little courtesey I attempt to alert you to the fact that the *1.5 Native* Button SHOULD NOT be displayed for this product in the JED, because it isn't 1.5 Native.
That is all. I don't know why you're all upset over this, but you know the button shouldn't be displayed at the JED this way.
Thanks for trying, but try not to get someone's posts wrong again Okay johnnydement? please read in the future, instead of just skimming and posting. Geez! It's a non-issue anyway dude.
Kindest regards,
Bradley
