From this : docs.kunena.com/index.php/Kunena_1.5.3_Read_Me , there is only a security fix in this version :

Kunena 1.5.3 contains only one small security related fix. In previous Kunena releases you could see topics of the messages in forums where you didn't have any permissions by looking at users profile. This has now been fixed.

If your topics contain sensitive information, you should upgrade.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

It looks like I need to change that text. K1.5.3 contains a lot of fixes, but only one security fix.

Please note that Read Me is currently only a draft and I'm working on it right now.

If there are no issues found (in Kunena.com), Kunena 1.5.3 should be out in 12 hours.

I'm just checking if I can find any bugs in Kunena.com. Already found two (and fixed them):

# [#16812] Kunena 1.5.2RC: SEF: Broken anchor links when viewing messages
# [#16811] Kunena 1.5.1b: Broken URL in emails (subscriptions, moderators, report message)

Please report any bugs that you will find so that we can fix those last issues.

Very good to hear :)

Just a question, from the read me:

Default (Red, Green and Gray) and all templates based on those are now officially deprecated and will be removed in Kunena 1.6.

I actually liked these simple, clean templates. Why did you guys decide to get rid of them? I am plannig to use one of these templates but I'm not sure if they will be removed in a later version.

Because the code is wrapped up so tight in the templating of Kunena as it was in FireBoard and JoomlaBoard before that. When you update one you have to update them all. Very tedious and not something you should have to do from a dev standpoint. Besides that all those extra templates made the install way too big. So until the code gets separated from design and templating/skinning is made easier I think it's a good move.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)
