This is also something that our users depend on greatly... I would really like to figure out a way to do this if anyone can help?
It seems like you should be able to modify the code that sends notifications to moderators/admins and have it send an email to a list of users that are associated with the category?
I am semi-new to Kunena so I may be wrong... but there HAS TO BE A WORK AROUND FOR THIS?

Actually that code should work with rather small modifications in Kunena 1.0 and with a few Joomla API changes in Kunena 1.5.
Most changes in code go into showcat.php as the defines have changed.. Hm..

Hello!
Has there been any progress on subscription to a category? This would be a major improvement for us!
Thanks,
3by400, Inc.

Hi all -
Here is my hack for category subscription - please note that I'm unable to support this at all, but install info is included and it works fine for me since months.
Best,
Kaliya

Hi,
Not too up on these things. Is this hack something the head administrator of our organization has to plug in or is it something an individual user is to plug in?
I see this thread is now marked SOLVED. Is this in fact true? Have any of the Kunena developers tried this hack and do they approve of its use?
Since the poster of this hack has only had one post on this forum I am a little reluctant to try to have our organization try to use it.
