Hi guys,
I'm just wondering what the largest Joomla/Kunena install is that is going around.

Reason being is that I run what I would call a semi-successful site and if any Kunena dev's would like to review slow query details or seek other performance improvements, I may have a bsae of data and concurrent users that could be leveraged. I'm testing 1.6 to 2.0 upgrade path and tweaking templates.

Looking at www.kunena.org/forum/statistics and Joomlapolis ( www.joomlapolis.com/forum/stats

I see the following
Kunena: 30K users, 114K posts and 19K subjects
Joomlapolis: 480K users, 200K posts and 49K subjects

My site which just went through a major purge of users and pruned posts:
114K users (from 180K)
688K posts (from 993K)
82K subjects (from 94K)
Most popular topic has over 600K hits
Concurrent users, only between 400 and 600 over 20 hours of the day

2 Linux servers, one apache, one mysql. Load Average for both is between 0.2 and 0.3
Using a CDN

Recent Topics query takes between 0.7 and 1.1 seconds
No Replies query is between 4 and 5.5 seconds

Anyone know of any larger sites? I would love to discuss performance or architecture etc as we keep growing. I know the user count is not really an issue, it is the concurrent users, DB indexes and back end config.

Cheers!

Largest Kunena site that's live is located in here: www.sol.dk/debat

The site has over 2 million posts and hundreds of thousands users. It's currently running slightly older version of Kunena 2.0. I cannot reveal more details, though.

Kunena 2.0 has been optimized for sites like yours and you will see huge performance increase after upgrade. After upgrade almost all queries should run in less than 0.1 seconds -- unless we have missed something. Most page loads should also be below 1 second, but there are still optimizations to be made in that area -- in my tests we can reach 5x faster page loads with relatively small changes and clever use of caching.

Matias, that is great!, Exactly why I would like to push through on the upgrade in the coming month.

I have made some code changes over the year so I am just checking the catalog of changes (things like jAwards, Showing different people online in the stats, Moderator tools etc)

Really looking forward to the upgrade.
