Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Question [SOLVED] sh404SEF: Preview not working in latest FB version

I have got a major problem since following the instructions on this website. I went into /components/com_sh404sef/sef_ext/ and changed com_Fireboard.php to com_kunena.php. I made sure I first backed up com_Fireboard.php so if something didn't work, I could put it back. At first I thought it worked, the URLs went back to how they used to be. However, when you click on some of the links, you are taken back to the homepage. So I deleted the file and replaced it with the backup. Unfortunately it is still doing exactly the same.

Please follow the link below. You will see in the top menu there is an "the forum" menu item. If you look under "private messenger" there is also another link to the forum in the form of a small screen shot. If you hover over this, you will see that it seems to point to the correct url. However when you click on it it just takes you back to the homepage with a 404 error. I really don't know what's gone wrong, I'm going away tomorrow so I need to get this sorted before.

I think I may have sorted the problem. I went into sh404sef settings and purged about 19,000 URLs and then things seemed to be okay. The website seems to run a hell of a lot quicker as well, don't know if this was related or not.

Just keeping my fingers crossed

Same for myself - the only reason I have not installed Kunena on www.starVmax.com

That's why an sh404SEF plugin is already in our SVN. Get 1.0.8 done, then do this, then upgrade my site... B)

am I correct in saying there is something that will enable sh404sef on kunena? If so, where can I get it from. Sorry for the ignorance, but I'm not sure what SVN is

Hi,

I managed to get the preview working using sh404sef by adding my site URL in components/com_kunena/template/default/js/kunenaforum.js
changed on line 96:

Code:
jQuery.ajax({url:"http://MYDOMAINURL/index2.php",

It is a hack but it is working for me :)

I tried this on mine but my ajax still hangs. Not working for me :(

Does it work then use disable sh404sef?

Did you put your URL instead of MYDOMAINURL of the hack? Don't copy that 1:1

Have you cleared your browser cache?

Hi,
I put in my domain, I didn't copy 1:1 so that part was setup as stated. Cleared all my cache and that didn't change anything so I just turned off sh404 to test it like you mentioned and it works fine. Guess it has something to do with sh404 making it not work on my end. I'll live with the bug I guess because I'd rather have sh404 urls then the default ones.

This was the same for me. I tried the hack but the preview didn't work. I had entered my URL with the www and then I tried entering just mysiteurl without the www and hey presto. I do have a redirect in my .htaccess file to remove the www so I'm not sure why this doesn't work with the www but I don't really understand quite what happens with sh404sef yet and how it functions...

Any ideas or comments as to why this happened are welcome! I'm a bit of a novice...;)

I had the same with Fireboard btw when I used sh404sef and in both instances, once sh404sef is disabled, it starts to work.
