The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.8 [K 7.0.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.
This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.
The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.
One thing to be taking into consideration: in K1.5 only public forums/categories will get added into the stream. So this feature does not work in registered only forums.
I believe that this has been changed in K1.6, which allows stream also for all registered forums. It still does not allow stream for author+ restricted cats (due to limitation that was in the API).
Thanks for the info. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who didn't catch that the problem had to do with forum permissions.
As a side note:
After going to Kunena Configuration / Security in the Backend and setting Registered Users Only to Yes, I can then go to Forum Administation and set the Public Access Level of each individual Forum for which I want activity added to the Jomsocial Activity Stream to Everybody. Each Forum I set this way, will have its activity added to the Activity stream. Guests will be able to see the postings on the Activity Stream, but if they click on them, they are denied access. In other words, Guests are still unable to access the Forums at all and the Forum activity is still shown on the Activity Stream.
Edit to add: I am using Kunena 1.5.11 and Jomsocial 1.6.288
