Question CB integration not working

I've uninstalled the cb.fireboard plugin.

If the cb_simpleboardtab plugin is published as outlined, I get a blank screen for the CB Profile tho the Kunena forum works with its own Profile. I get a blank screen for the profile when I set the Kunena integration settings to CB.

If the cb_simpleboardtab plugin is unpublished, the CB Profile works, but I get a blank screen when trying to integrate Kunena with CB.

(still can't reinstall the plug_cb_kunena_tab; get the same error message)

According to your website ( www.burakdesign.com/dillonU ) you are using (or you attempted to use and didn't properly uninstall) Kunena 1.5.89cbeta (codenamed "Sierra"). I don't know anything about that version of Kunena.

Please read and follow the instructions on how to uninstall that version ( Downgrading Kunena ) and install Kunena 1.0.10.

You should not have to install "plug_cb_kunena_tab". The cb.simpleboardtab plugin is a "core" CB component. There's nothing else to install (however, you do need to publish the plugin configure it for Kunena). Where are you trying to get this "plug_cb_kunena_tab" from? I've never heard of it before.

I think you have another Community Builder plugin (or another component) that's causing the conflict. If you really want to get everything to work you might have to allow someone else to use the administrator access to your Joomla website to see what's going on.

Yes I did have that Kunena 1.5.89cbeta installed at one time.

I've uninstalled Kunena, and removed the jos_fb_* from the database and reinstalled Kunena 1.0.1.

Still the same errors as before - neither CB or Kunena work when the cb.simpleboardtab is published.

Should I try uninstalling both and deleting all the jos_fb_* and comprofiler_*?

Please, get rid of the kunena_cb_tab! It was a non-standard development made for an ancient version of Community Builder and, as far as CB 1.2.1 is concerned, the kunena_cb_tab plugin is rubbish! Kunena 1.0.10 and CB 1.2.1 were released only in the last three weeks.

You may also have other, really old, incompatible CB plugins, too.

You should not have to totally start from scratch (uninstall CB and Kunena and wipe the SQL tables), nor should you have to install CB 1.2.1 and K 1.0.10 again. On the other hand, that option isn't totally ruled out, either. As I suggested in my last post, you may need to invite someone whom you trust to examine your Joomla website and make a few recommendations.

I'll try reinstall of both. I'm such a newbie about databases - is there a concern for me to wipe out the comprofiler_* tables in the database before reinstall?

Well its working - but with a wacky set-up. This is what I must have had before downgrading to Kunena 1.0.1:

cb_simpleboardtab (not published)

I get the Kunena forum tab in my CB profile and get the CB profile from the Kunena forum!!

Thanks for your help - I wish I had it working with the right version/plugins. Maybe I'll try the recommended route later - right now I'm a nervous wreck just getting this going again.
