Question error after upgrading (Top Urgent)

I have upgraded from k 1.5.12 to 1.6 using the patch available in kunena site,

I have used the file manager ( cpanel ) to upload the patch files to my site

after completing the file uploading, the follwing error msg start appears

Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /home/we1/public_html/libraries/joomla/database/database/mysql.php on line 193

Catchable fatal error: Object of class CKunenaConfig could not be converted to string in /home/we1/public_html/components/com_kunena/lib/kunena.link.class.php on line 133

Upgrade process from 1.5.12 to 1.6.2 nowdays made from Joomla! installer... just download Kunena 1.6.2 package and install it from Joomla installer (Extensions -- Install/uninstall)

So... now restore from backup to situation what was before you "upload the patch files to my site" and do upgrade right...

Installing or Upgrading Kunena

You can upgrade the Kunena source code (from K 1.5 -> K 1.6) by copying files to your website but you also have to convert the database. So the mechanism you described will not work and this is not how Joomla extensions are normally installed, anyway!

K 1.6.2 is not a "patch" to K 1.5.x according to the commonly accepted use of the term. K 1.6.2 is a completely new version ... in fact, it's a totally new product. K 1.6.2 just happens to have some features that look like what you've seen before in K 1.5 (and K 1.0 before that).
