Hi Guys

I have been using Agora forum on my site and decided I should try out Kunena on my test site to see how the move to Kunena would work. My site is located at www.socsa.org.za

I have a test site up at test.socsa.org.za to check that everything works and restored a copy of my live site to it. I installed Kunena 1.5.12 and the "Kunena Converter" component, ran the component and all worked 100%. All links, categories and posts in the Kunena forum seem to be working and all the old posts were copied over. I deleted Agora component and the Kunena Convert component and then installed Kunena 1.6. I selected the upgrade option when installing 1.6 and everything completed without any errors.

I am however now unable to access any of the old Agora posts (I was able to on 1.5). The site comes up with the "404 - Component not found" error. I did set up a menu to "recent topics" and it does come up with the latest posts but when u click on them returns the 404 error again.

Anyone got any suggestions as to how I can fix this? Please PM me if you would like access to the web site to check it out yourself as forum access is restricted

Thanks

JohnB

Hi xillibit

I have just tried downgrading to 1.5.12 and reinstalling 1.5.12, which worked 100%, all the old posts are back again. I then tried upgrading again and still has the same problem.

This certainly appears to be a menuing issue. I'm working on a building a video tutorial that will, I hope, explain how to set up the menu properly.

Hi Soz

Thank you for your reply, I have tried using the Kunena menu that gets added with the 1.6 upgrade but get the same 404 error when clicking on any of the posts.

I would obviously like to get this sorted out in the near future so I can try out 1.6. Have you any suggestions as to how I can sort this out? Please PM me if you would like you would like to check it out and I will give you a username and pw for the site.
