Hello,
I have searched everywhere but I can't find a solution to this problem...

I have a joomla 1.7 installation, with kunena 1.7.
I did a fresh install, never used kunena before this version, so it was clean install.
When I've installed kunena 1.7, kunenamenu was created (it was empty), but the problem is that the module position doesn't gets created, so I can't make the kunena menu appear on the forum (kunena_* doesn't appear on the list of module positions)

I've tried reinstalling the kunena, same luck nothing changed.
I have debug on, and no problems appears.

The site is here www.techclub.gr/forum.html

Anyone can help? tried everything...

Go here \templates\*yourtemplate*\ and open your templateDetails.xml
add there these lines
<position>kunena_profilebox</position>
<position>kunena_announcement</position>
<position>kunena_bottom</position>
<position>kunena_msg_1</position>
<position>kunena_menu</position>
<position>kunena_section_1</position>
<position>kunena_topic_1</position>
etc...
then go to components -> kunena forum -> create menu and voila.

But really guys, this procedure MUST BE AUTOMATED, your are loosing tons of users,
or a least provide a howto.txt with the zip..

I'm just a novice and thought I could benefit from that; however, in the meanwhile, I was able to get it working the way I wanted. Thanks much as I'm sure others could use it!

This cannot be fixed by us as it's something that needs API in Joomla. And no, we are not going to modify files for each template from Kunena.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what, specifically, all this fancy code is supposed to be doing. What do you want to achieve, kina? I think you're over-engineering a solution.

Please read Module Positions

I just want a search forums box like you have on this page.

Don't know why this is not there by default!

How to set it up ?
