The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. Merged Multiple forums on one Joomla
I did try to include the kunena menu as a whole in the sitemap, but this way there's a lot of additional pages included into the sitemap.

Wow.....I finally got things working (sort of)....I'm wondering if what I really want to do is possible.
Using an external link in my main menu item, I was able to point to a single Forum Section and within each section I have categories and within each category I have subcategories.
What I'd really like to be able to do is group sections....in other words I'd like a main menu item to be able to open the Kunena forum interface with several sections that I choose as opposed to only one section. Is this possible?
I'd like to say that the Kunena developers have done a great job on this product and the people who take time out to help us all in this forum are wonderful. Thanks everyone!

Severdia:severdia wrote: Do the following:
1. Go to the Menu Item Manager for the menu you want to create links in.
2. Click New to create a new menu item.
3. Click Kunena and then Index (Category Index).
4. Give the menu item a name and choose the section/category you want on the right side.
5. Click Save.
Let me know if this works for you.
Thanks for all your assistance here. These are good instructions, and it works well for me, where I want to have two different forums because they are serving two different purposes on the site and will have different moderation rules. I have these set up as two different sections.
The only problem with this is that in each of the pages that show from the menu items, there is the index tab that when clicked lists all the categories of both sections. I want it to show only the section that was originally selected.
I will look into the code that makes the link for the index tab and see if I can get it to point to the section rather than the whole forum. But I really am in the "know enough to be dangerous" category when it comes to code. I decidedly am not a programmer.
Do you have any helpful hints on how to this?
