What do you mean by Kunena is the default menu ?

If I set Kunena Menu as default my first page of site show the forum. If I set Main Menu as default my first page is the site but in forum tabs no longer appear.

In this forum, for example, if I click the main top menu item "forum", the forum tab lights blue and indicates the right itemid. Then if while I'm here at this forum and click "search" in the kunena menu, both search in the kunena menu and forum in the main menu are lighted to indicate the same itemid.
How is this installed to work this way?
In my installation, the default install names the kunena menu alias "forum". But then when I want to name my main menu forum link alias "forum", it won't allow it because a top kunena menu item already has that alias.
O.K., so I name kunena alias "forum" and main menu alias "forums". When I hover over main menu link, the url says "forums.html" but it actually goes to "forum.html". And then every link in the forum is based on "forum". However, the itemid is not correct and menu modules do not respond to main menu.
The question is simply, how are menu items correctly configured so that both menus that go to the same place work together?
Thanks for any help on this.
