I've experienced the same error 'XML Parsing Error at 3:85. Error 4: not well-formed (invalid token)' when upgrading two different sites from Kunena 1.5.12 and 1.5.13 to 1.5.14.

Curiously, in both incidents, below the error message I still get the Joomla! message 'Install Component Success' with the Kunena message below that 'I N S T A L L : Successful'.

Both sites seem to work ok with a bit of initial testing so I'm not sure if anything is broken by this dodgy XML file.

Whilst I intend to upgrade to 1.6x, I may need to stick with 1.5.14 to avoid Mootools compatibility issues with my Afterburner templates. I'm in the process of determining the best way forward here for a number of sites using Afterburner, Kunena, CB and EventList.

I too have had the same problem as 'biltong' when upgrading from 15.12 to 1.5.14 on Joomla 1.5.23.

XML Parsing Error at 3:85. Error 4: not well-formed (invalid token)

Install Component Success

I N S T A L L : Successful

php version: 5.2.9 (Required >= 5.0.3)
mysql version: 4.1.22-standard (Required > 4.1.19)

The only problem that has arisen is that on the Forum Category list the Avatars do not show.

The Avatars show elsewhere but on inspection of the element, (avatar) the extension is not in the URL.

When I uploaded some avatars without any extension they do show on the Forum Category list.

Perhaps a new thread with the 'biltong' post and this Post, should be moved to the 1.5 Forum.

Never say Never. Anything is Possible!

Don't move to Agora... at least not until A/D and Jvitals get it together. Once in Agora, there's no going anywhere else. Lots of cool features and it's a good looking forum but super buggy and devs don't participate in Support anymore since they went commercial. I used it on a site 6 months ago, and still doing penance with that client while awaiting releases that come sporadically and filled with bugs. I've used Kuena on my last 3 sites and had no issues at all.
