Thank you for your report. So, if I understand your situation correctly, you have had this problem now for 5 months and you have not followed-up this matter with us over that time. I am sure we could have addressed the matter a long time ago if you had been more involved with this matter.

There are a number of things that I would look into if I had received the administrator account details that you say you have sent. I have not received that information, sorry.

You have upgraded Kunena from K 1.6.3 to K 1.6.4 (which is one change you have made) but you are still using outdated versions of Kunena Discuss plugin, Kunena Latest module and Kunena Login module. You should upgrade these as soon as possible (go to the download page).

I note that you still using the same verion of ArtioSEF; we have received many reports about this Joomla component - most of them are not very complimentary about ArtioSEF - and most of the people who have reported their problems have ended up uninistalling that component because it caused more problems than it was worth. I mention this in passing, even though it does not seem to be directly related to your current situation.

Because I have not yet received the details of your administrator account, I can only speculate about what it is that is causing you current Mootools-related problems. There are two main causes for these issues (among others I mentioned in my earlier message):
  1. the template that you use; and
  2. outdated, old components that rely on Mootools 1.1.x
Despite the advice that we have given in the past about continuing to rely on "legacy mode" to prop-up software that was designed for J! 1.0, software that should have no place in today's modern web application environment, software that's old, outdated and buggy, people still feel compelled to resist the better advice and to stick with these things. The fact is that this may very well be the underlying cause of your current problem. It doesn't take too long to search for "legacy mode" on this website and spend a bit of time reading what we have said about this so-called "feature" of Joomla. In the end it may come down to a choice between using an old, outdated, buggy, unsupported component and moving forward so that you can use Kunena. Legacy mode may not, of itself, be the issue but it usually points to the existence that you have software that requires the System - Legacy plugin to be enabled. If this is the case in your situation, that is where I would concentrate my focus. If you do not need legacy mode, then you gain no benefit by having the plugin enabled.

I am not familiar with the site template developed by Amanda King, nor am I aware whether this template deploys some Javascript library that clashes with J! 1.5.23 and Mootools 1.2.5. We can look at that if, and when, I have the opportunity to look at your administrator site.

I'm still waiting. You can send me your administrator account details (username and password) to me by PM or post the details here using the

I will look into this tomorrow. Somehow you sent the account information to another site administrator who has forwarded your email to me.

For a fee we might be able to help. Would you be prepared to pay for this kind of service?

I do not have a rockettheme installed that I know of, but if you can fix all the issues in the forum.. I would gladly pay.. but I am not rich... would love to have a guess at what it would cost.. your super user account has been setup I sent you the info.. did you get it?
I know how to disable legacy mode.. and did so.. still does not work.

Would you please post your K 1.6 configuration report again, after you have made all the changes that you say that you have made, before I have a look at your site tomorrow. Thank you.

I want to be sure that we haven't overlooked anything: lingering legacy mode, lingering outdated Kunena modules/plugins, ArtioSEF, the several conflicting Joomla menu items that we saw 5 months ago (and these things repeated in your rlast config report) etc.

I strongly urge you to consider all of the information provided in the FAQ page (see the FAQs tab at the top of this page). There's a lot of help and guidance there. :)
