The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Question
Users cant edit profile to change usernames after upgrade
Would it be a major problem if you started again? Create a brand new Joomla 1.5.22 website with Kunena 1.6.3 and make sure that, at the very least, these two parts work together?
It seems to me that your Joomla site was a weak foundation to use when you upgraded but, without being able to see the K 1.6 configuration report and without knowing what you had before, we're fumbling in the dark for information.
Do you have a backup of your K 1.5 website? That would be a good starting point.
I went through that topic link you gave and I finally saw what the issue was with the BBCode.
There was a jquery conflict in my template which when I removed the reference to that script, the BBCode area started working well again.
2)To start all over with a new site would be very difficult as there are already up to hundred and eight members who are active with posts and for them not to see their posts may make them lose interest in the site.
3)I will look at the report config settings that others have posted here and try to use it as a guide to get some of my settings individually and post it here.
4)Also, I found a temporary work-around for users to edit their kunena forum profile. It is through the kunena menu plugin for jomsocial. So to edit their kunena profile and maybe change username, they go through jomsocial profile and go through that kunena menu plugin and it works from there.
