I went the joomla seo docs and set everything up and actually have it working on everything but the forums. Once I activate Serch Engine Friendly in the forum configuration, I get the following error on a white screen.

Unknown column 'a.attachment_type' in 'field list'

If I disable everything goes back to normal.

Let me elaborate... if I disable SEO in joomla, the forum once again begins to work. There are no modifications in jooomla.

Hello,

What sef system do you using ?

Do you have the complete error message when you see :

Unknown column 'a.attachment_type' in 'field list'

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

I don't think that it's Joomla's Search Engine Optimization (SEO) that is causing your installation of Kunena to die. certainly, the error message "Unknown column 'a.attachment_type' in 'field list'" is highly suspicious but I think it's pointing to a different problem. Perhaps if you enabled Joomla debug mode you would be able to see exactly Joomla extension is responsible for generating that error message.

My guess is that you are running something incompatible with Kunena and/or Joomla. For example, you are not using the standard Kunena template and it's possible that the template is causing your problem. You can establish whether this is the case by reverting to the Blue Eagle (default) template that was installed with Kunena. If the standard template works with SEO then you should contact the developer of the template you have installed to see if there is a solution for your problems.

Here is the entire error.

I am using the SEO that came with Joomla in Global Configuration.

I did some playing arround and noticed that this only happens with the URL www.mysite.com/forum/ . This is the URL that SEO creates for the forum menu item. It also appears that the Kunena Latest mod is generating this error with every link. If I type in the URL www.mysite.com/fourm the SEO will rewrite the URL with the "/" at the end and it Dies. If I type in www.mysite.com/forum/index with no tailing slash, everything work fine. I have tried this with the default theme, and the same result.

If I disable "Use Apache mod_rewrite" then the forum links and Kunena Latest links work. The only problem is that with Use Apache mod_rewrite disabled the menu item "Forum" looks like this... "/index.php/forum/index?view=listcat&catid=0&func=listcat"

Did you hover your mouse over that warning icon on the Global Configuration screen? Did you read the tooltip? What did you use for your .htaccess file?

However, this does not explain the "Unknown column 'add_deny' in 'field list'" messages. Where are these coming from and when do they appear?
