Hi,

Most likely you did not loose any users. The upgrade does not modify the number of users in your system.

However, the way we count users has changed in Kunena 1.6. Kunena 1.5 has incorrectly counted all active and inactive (non confirmed or blocked) users. Kunena 1.6 only counts active users.

If you check in your Joomla backend you will most likely find that the delta in user numbers is due to various accounts not being confirmed or blocked.

Hope this helps!

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

G'day, Dr. Pariolo, and welcome to Kunena

While we have your attention, I notice that your configuration report shows that you are still running Joomla 1.5 with the legacy plugin enabled. Please read the important information about Legacy mode and take action now before it causes you a problem later on. Thanks.

Cool, thanks for the advice, i disabled it. I wasnt using it anyways, use for testing old modules, but i dont use them any longer.

Anyways, but im still confused about the user count. Ill explain. I understand, and i personally agree thats a good feature, that it doesnt count suspended and non activated account.

So i went to my joomla cpanel, and checked my user administration, and activated a few accounts. User count will still not increase. Also tried to block a couple of currently active accounts, and the count will not decrease.

User account on the forum is not frozen though, it still counts new users that registers. But it doesnt seem to consider what i do from the admin control panel.

Activating/deactivating users in the Joomla User Manager won't necessarily do anything to the Kunena user table until those users actually login to your website. To be absolutely sure of what users you have, I suggest you use the Synchnronize Users feature on the Kunena control panel.
