Question Forum tried to send email from invalid address

Hi everyone:

Some of my forum users are getting the following error message when posting to the forum. They are also simultaneously getting the message that the e-mail has been sent. I'd appreciate any input on this issue.

Did you ever get a solution to this? I'm getting the same problem, for some reason the error shows only in IE, but if I post in Chrome the subscription mail doesn't get sent either.

Hi, nope never got a response. Only one user reported this problem and she hasn't mentioned it since so maybe it is a non issue. I never experienced it personally. I'll see if it comes up again.

Check your Joomla mail settings.

Sozzled, my Joomla mail settings are correct. They are set to use my email address, [email protected] as the "from" address for outgoing emails.

I have asked my user who has reported this message whether she is still getting it and if so, to please copy/paste it into an email for me. It may be resolved. I'll let you know if more troubleshooting is needed.

I also have problem with emails from the forum (subscriptions and reports to forum manager).
I get two messages:
1) Report was sent successfully (I translated everything to Hebrew, so I'm not sure what is the original English message)
2) Email function couldn't be initialized.

In any other component the email works fine (sending an email from any article, or the contact page).
