Ok, so I've had the same issue as the guy above, and have been pulling my hair out, (what little is left if it) trying to get this to work properly.

I have not been able to find anything with the Global Configuration that allows me to ensure the MIME types are correct.

Thanks,
Marko

Three questions for Markocius:

(1) Does this issue occur with K 1.7.1?

(2) Does this issue occur with K 1.7.1 Blue Eagle (default) template?

(3) Does this issue occur if you have the Kunena menu? (Do you know how to setup the Kunena menu?)

Not all versions of PHP support different MIME types. You can disable MIME type checking in K 1.7.1:

Forum Configuration » Uploads » Images » Check MIME Types = No

Does this help?

Please disable all CB plugins. there are some plugins that will not work with kunena.

I still don't have any resolve on the matter.
I have changed permissions, disabled CB plugins and all of the other things.

Really too bad, because I have used Kunena on other websites and just love it.

Now we're beginning to make some real progress.

For us to see what's happening, I tried to look at the website in question. The URL contained in the configuration report is the URL of the domain, not the URL of the site - this is a limitation of the configuration report generator (I would love to see the issue fixed with a future version of Kunena).

Let me explain our problem. The Kunena configuration report generator works fine with websites that are like this: http://<domain-name>; however, the report generator does not handle websites like http://<domain-name>/folder-name in the same way. For exampke, if your site is at www.example.com/mywebsite then the report generator will only find the " www.example.com " part.

So, that's our first problem. We don't know where your site is located. It's in a folder under your domain somewhere.

The next thing to look at is the way you've enabled SEO. You have one of the Joomla SEO settings enabled, but not the other one, and it's also possible that the .htaccess file re-routes HTTP requests in a way that's not consistent with using Joomla in a sub-folder of a domain. We've seen this condition in the past and problems like these usually disappear when the site is established not as a sub-folder of the domain but, instead, in it's own sub-domain.

(1) Please read Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in the Wiki.

(2) Consider transforming your site from http://<domain-name>/folder-name to http://sub-domain=name.<domain-name>

(3) Consider using one of the templates you've used in your other installations of Kunena instead of the template you are using here.

(4) What are the key differences between your working Kunena installations and the problem site? Work towards eliminating those differences.
