Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

When you looked at other topics, you would have seen that there are many causes why users cannot upload attachments.
The most common cause is folder/file permission: your webhosting company may have told you that your site meets the minimum requirements, but have you checked that all folders and files have been setup with the recommended permissions? In other words, please read Securing Kunena .
The next most common reason why files cannot be uploaded is because the files, themselves, are too big or are of an unauthorised MIME type. These must be allowed also in your Joomla Global Configuration. When all else fails, reset Kunena configuration settings back to their defaults and try to upload a simple (say 1 Kb) .jpg file. That's what I would do.
The next most common reason why files cannot be uploaded is because there's something else getting in the way (another Joomla extension for example - badly written Joomla templates are a prime example of this). The easiest way to establish if this is the case is to have a test site (bare-bones Joomla 1.7.3, no other Joomla extensions or modifications, and Kunena) and see if you can upload images with that. If you can upload images then look at what's different between your live site and the test site.
The last most common reason why people cannot upload files is because there is something seriously broken on their sites (possibly a half-completed installation, or very badly written code) that requires more involved investigation. This usually means enabling both Joomla debug mode and Kunena debug mode and looking to see if there are any error messages; it can also mean having to analyse the Apache server log files. Not very appetising, I know.
