the answer is not so simple. as even if i delete all menu items and even if i restore ONLY one menu item, still i get an ERROR when posting, or thanking or more.
if you have a less simple answer.. :) welcome.

The "less simple" answer is just as simple.

You need to find every place where you have a menu item that refers to Kunena. You need to delete these menu items. You need to empty the menu trash. You then use the Create Menu function. When you have recreated your Kunena menu, in the way I described above, please post your updated configuration report. Thank you.

An even less simpler thing to do is to prove that Kunena works on a test site; we need to know this answer before we consider doing anything else. (I just finished writing a reply about this issue on a different topic ) Does Kunena work for you on a no-frills test site on the same hosting platform as your live site - the site that does not work? Yes or no, please.

I don't think that this has anything to do with menu.

To me this error looks like Kunena is returning empty HTTP/HTML response (0 bytes long) or there's something else going wrong: HTTP headers indicate that the content is compressed when it's not.

Please Google the answer: ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED

If you're having the issue also in Safari, I suggest that you disable gzip compression and try again. You may have a bug in zlib (upgrade server operating system) for example.

I would say that this issue isn't related to Kunena or Joomla.

SOLVED.
the problem was in joomla version.

1.5.25 is having problems. made some tests, and works perfectly in j1.5.22 and j1.5.23
no matter of itemid or menu and gzip was already disabled. joomla was the problem, tested in 3 different sites on the same server. thank you all.

There is nothing wrong with J! 1.5.25 and K 1.7.1. I have tested K 1.7.1 on a J! 1.5.25 website and I have not had any problems with submitting posts, replying to forum topics, using the thank you feature or clicking menu items. As Matias says, this problem does not seem to be caused by Kunena or Joomla but, in your case, upgrading to J! 1.5.25 exposed another issue on your server that causes a problem.

So, for the record, I want to ensure that other people reading this topic do not get a hint of a possibility that there's a problem with K 1.7.1 running on J! 1.5.25. The problems in this topic are an isolated case and do not represent a more general problem for the Kunena community (or the Joomla community for that matter}.
