Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

This category is only for reporting defects or problems with Kunena 1.6 test versions with Joomla 1.6. This is NOT a support forum - there is no support for test versions. Users should NOT install K 1.6 alpha or beta test versions on websites with live production data.

At first put the access level to registered. Save it.
Then change it to public.
In backend it shows still nobody but its now available on frontend

Where is this setting you speaking of?
is it under forum configuration...Security...Registered Users Only

Because I tried changing that back and forth and it did not resolve the issue

The Problem is I don't want to have to do that for every new Catagory I post.

For some Reason when I add a catagory it is setting it to "nobody" automatically.

so every time i have to click on it and to change it to everybody.

Hello Kunena Community

I seem to have a similar/same issue

I use
-Jommla 1.6.1
-Installed version: Kunena 1.6.3 | 2011-01-31 | 4344 [ Parlare ]
-Community Builder 1.4

I wanted to set up a Public Access Forum
The preinstalled Sections/Categories worked just fine,
but every new one defaults to "public Access" = Nobody

When I change the "public access" in the Settings tab to the Joomla User Group "Public", the board changes the "Public Access" back to "Nobody"
All other user groups seem to work fine

Is there any known way to fix it ?

Thanks and greets
DieMama

--- Edit ---

One Workaround: change the "pub_access" value to 0 in the *_kunena_categories SQL Table

If i'am remember right, this should be fixed in k1.6.4

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.
