Question Out of memory errors with outdated version of Kunena

Are you saying that you are having problems with upgrading K 1.6.4? Are you saying that you are getting these "out of memory" errors when you try to upgrade?

Those are different errors to the one you first reported and this is a different issue.

"open_basedir restriction in effect" in Joomla is a bit tricky. This is what I found by looking in the Joomla suport forum :

open_basedir is a protection thing that is enabled by your host. There is very little you can do about it, but you should ask your host for information about it. You could also read this topic: www.knowledgesutra.com/forums/topic/5608...tor-to-be-activated/

What you can do is move the file that is restricted to the same directory as the php file which is trying to access the other, and change the location in the file thats giving the error to the new location of the file it's trying to access.

I don't know if that is very helpful to you, or not.

The problem may also have something to do with your Joomla site template (e.g. this example comes from Rockettheme): www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=21...91725&rb_v=viewtopic

Another suggestion is to review your Joomla folder and file permissions (see Securing Kunena )
