I can assure you, there are tens of thousands of Kunena users who will tell you that it SEF links work with standard Joomla SEO and this site is one good example.

First things first. Before you start worrying about not being able to use SEF links with Kunena, can you test the situation? It's really simple to test. Rename your existing .htaccess file as htaccess.old and take the original Joomla-supplied htaccess.txt and rename it as .,htaccess and then see if this fixes the Kunena problem. If it does, good. You know that you've got a problem with your original, modified .htaccess file and you can fix it up because you know how to write .htaccess files.

Thanks for the help, but I am not an htaccess expert by any means. I just added some things to it that were recomended by others. One was a redirect for non www. quiries, and the other I can't remember.

All I know is Kenena is the only thing affected, everything else on my joomla site handles it fine. For example I have an embedded wordress install, gallery2 is another. Freindly urls working there. hm.

I will dop some more testing to see if it is actually the htaccess file. Last time I tried it still didn't work I don't think.

Hi folks,
I have similar or same problem: In Index tab - all topics are shown correctly. when I click any topic shown on the index tab, kunena switches to the Recent Topic tab and shows the last topic which shows 'Last post' by ... and time since posted in the info space.
However, when I click this topic (to show) the post's nothing happens. Only same screen is displayed again. All other tabs are working (as far as I can tell).
I have a virtual host and am using SEO on in apache and using default .htaccess. When I switch SEO off then all other pages in my homepage switches only to master home page. So I dont see any way to bypass SEO. Im really not sure this is a redirection problem within Joomla.
This is the link to the (not displayed) post:

Any suggestions?

G'day, bluesailor, and welcome to Kunena,

The performance of your site is appreciably slow and I do not know what is causing it. However, I think your problem is probably a Joomla menu issue and it would help if you posted your K 1.6 configuration report.

Hi people,
somehow I just dont get this, I see people posting with the same problem but I havent seen the answer to this, SEEMLS to me LIKE, the same problem. I have Joomla 1.5.20 with Kunena 1.6.3 , running on xampp.

I tried all the options of Joomla and Kunena SEO combination of settings, nothing works but turning off Joomla SEO Search Engine Friendly URLs option.

After turning Joomlas SEO off, problem dessapears and I can access forums topisc, but thats not the real solution for me. I was reading about this problem for some time now and havent found the answer. I am not using any third party SEO but Joomla's and I am all out of ideas. :(

My final question is:

Is there a solution or there isnt and what am I missing?

Any help would be appriciated!
