Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Question User Profiles are uneditable

Subject tells the tale of my woes. Seems like a permission thing... I've tried different themes and even this mootools upgrade plugin. I've exhausted my search results and am unable to squash it.

SOLVED: For those of you with this problem, simply use the sync users tool within the forum's admin panel.

You say that we must use sync user tool, but what should we enable or disable? We click on Syncronize button but nothing changes.

I got the same problem. :blush:

There is nothing to edit. The Link in the profile "Edit" or in my language "Bearbeiten" is not active.
User sync will not solve the problem.

And i have no idea what could cause this.
Any suggestions? :)

G'day, Andy, and welcome to Kunena.

I'm not sure if you or Franja have the same problem as jwn74 and, quite honestly, I think jwn74's problem was not that his profiles were "uneditable" - I don't even understand what that word means in this context - but rather the Kunena user profiles did not even exist until he performed the synch. users procedure.

Therefore, if, in your case, the user profiles exist but you cannot change any of the details, I think this is an entirely different problem. That was the purpose of my question to Franja - which has not yet been answered.

I suspect that your problem (and Franja's problem) relate to some Javascript/Mootools conflict. In your case(s) I believe that the first message in If you are having problems with K 1.6, please read this first will answer and solve your problems. I could be wrong but I think we should eliminate the possibility first.

Hello:

We disabled System Mootools Upgrade before posting about this user profiles issue. We read as well the post 'If you are having problems with K1.6...' but we couln´t get any positive change.
