Question Getting email notifications as moderator

Hey guys,

I receive emails as a moderator while the config has it set to no... Below is the information required.. If you need anything more, let me know.

I am as an admin not assigned as a moderator to any forums, but it will send me emails. Also some of my moderators receive emails from their assigned sections but the option is set to "no"

As an administrator you are always a moderator of all forums. Therefore if you have set email moderators option then you will receive emails.

There are two kinds of moderators: global moderators and category moderators. If you have defined someone to be a global moderator they will receive emails from all categories. Category moderators should only receive emails for the categories they have been explicitly assigned to. Do you have evidence of a case, or cases, where a category moderator has received email relating to a different category? Look again at how you defined the user: did you assign them to specific categories or did you not? If you don't assign categories to users when you check the "Is moderator" checkbox, they will be global moderators.

I have turned email moderator & email administrator off. I still receive these emails...

One other thing I've noticed from your configuration report (although it has nothing to do with this subject): you are running with legacy mode turned on. Please see important information about Legacy mode and do something about this for your own benefit.

Getting back to the topic. Can you please take one example of a category or a topic that you are still receiving emails. Can you show us the configuration settings for the category in which the topic appears. Maybe you are subscribed to those topics or categories. Have you checked?

Okay, thanks for the info on legacy mode. But we use a very old component (modified) for a search functionality.

As for the emails. I am receiving emails from the section: Sex & Sexuality Boys.

I got an email saying a new post was made in topic "older or younger". I checked my subscriptions and I am not subscribed to any of these posts or categories.
When I am in the usermanager, I have rank: Administrator.
Is Moderator: No.

You have Review Posts = Yes. That is probably why you are receiving e-mails. I don't have a lot of experience with Review Posts so I can't be sure. See what happens if you change the setting.
